Around midnight, as Arthur pedaled southbound along South Powhaton Road in Aurora, Colorado, a driver struck him and fled into the dark. Hours drifted by in silence. A motorist\u2019s dashcam captured his bicycle and a single shoe along the roadside at 6:30 AM, though the driver didn’t realize what they were seeing.
